NEW YORK — A New York City man was killed by a mini school bus after stepping out into the street from between two parked cars. Police said the man was attempting to cross the street in Brooklyn just before 10 a.m. Tuesday. He was about 100 feet from the crosswalk when he was struck. About nine children were on the mini bus. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no other injuries.

New York, NY —New York highway accident officials continue to investigate a multi-vehicle collision on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) mid-morning on Thursday. The motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a school bus, casino bus, and a tractor-trailer truck on the Brooklyn portion of the BQE left 59 people including the drivers and passengers injured reported Newsday.

Alfred, N.Y. -- Bus driver had a blood alcohol content of 0.15% when she was arrested for allegedly driving a school bus while intoxicated, police say. The school bus driver was arrested May 8th on 15 counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment. She was driving a bus with kids age five to fifteen when she began driving erratically.

Midrand, NY - According to a spokesperson from the school administration, a school bus carrying teachers and students overturned at the intersection of Kyalami and Main Sts. yesterday around 3:20 p.m. Police are still investigating what caused the driver of the bus to lose control causing the accident. Fifty people in total sustained injuries although most injuries were minor. Some people were treated at the scene, but others were taken by ambulance to Tembisa clinic. The occupants of the bus consisted of teachers and students from primary and secondary school. The bus was returning to the school in Atteridgeville, Pretoria. The classes had been attending a school trip at KwaZulu-Natal.
